Hernán Genovese -La Siniestra Quinteto Tango's biography

Winner of the Hugo del Carril contest in 2005, Hernán Genovese has a characteristic voice of deep register also clear, mature, and with a phrasing full of blends. In 2007 he released his first solo album, Barajando, and in 2009 he participated in the international festivals of Seville and Albacete. He also performed in Madrid, Alicante, Toulouse and Brussels. In this Festival, he performs with his usual accompaniment of guitar trio and double bass, formed by Román Vergagni, (first guitar), Pablo Alessia (second guitarra), Joaquín Altabe (guitarrón) and Pablo Chaile (double bass). In addition to the traditional repertoire of the national singer, they interpret songs by Garello, Rosales, Castiello and their own. La Siniestra Quinteto Tango is formed by young musicians who propose an alternative and contemporary sonority in tango. This group is formed by: Victoria Polti (flute), Paula Liffschitz (concertina), Alejandro Bordas (guitar), Nicolás Di Lorenzo (piano) and Pablo Chaile (double bass) with Hernán Genovese as guest singer. This group released his first album in 2007.
