Alfredo Rubin y Las Guitarras de Puente Alsina's biography

The singer Alfredo Rubin presents his own compositions accompanied by guitars. He achieves a good balance between the old and the modern, both in the lyrics, filled with old and new slang, as well as in the melodies that, without abandoning the 20’s, propose a rock atmosphere. The same happens with the instrumental accompaniments: Las Guitarras de Puente Alsina (Mariano Heler and Adrian Lacruz) venture, on the grounds laid by Jose Ricardo and Enrique Maciel, into sophisticated arrangements without losing the tango swing. Being creative and at the same time sticking to tango is a great merit nowadays. The Quartet Almagro can be highlighted among Alfredo Rubin´s background at the end of the 90´s. It is now the turn of his two solo albums: Reina Noche (2004) and Lujo total (2009).
