Fernando Tarrés Sexteto presenta El jazz en Piazzolla's biography

Astor Piazzola’s work has become a constant during the two last decades. Musicians of different genres, aesthetics and countries devoted themselves to entire CDs and concerts in order to revisit his creations. Guitarist Fernando Tarrés follows this trend but at the same time he does not take part in the usual tributes, as his proposal combines jazz and the sound universe of a concertina player. Starting from a project for Festival Buenos Aires Jazz, in which he had to carry out a CD dedicated to Astor, Tarrés worked taking jazz as a point of reference. The result will be appreciated throughout the Festival. Tarres will be conducting a sextet formed by Damián Bolotin (violin), Rodrigo Domínguez (tenor sax), Juan Pablo Arredondo (double bass) and Carto Brandán (drums). Tarré’s career combines music composition and arrangements with artistic production. He is also the founder of BAU Records (Buenos Aires Underground), which has been running for almost ten years and has favored the coming out of a bunch of important musicians.
