Daniel Melingo 's biography

Daniel Melingo

Singer, saxophonist and guitar player Daniel Melingo is a unique character in music.
His career is known not only regarding rock – he was part of Los Twist and Los Abuelos de la Nada- but also regarding tango – he was the presenter of a TV show called Mala Yunta, where rock musicians played tango- and he turned all the influences into several plays with a slight tone of prison and slang. Together with poet Luis Alposta, he founded an original tango repertoire - tragic, funny and obscure- which has direct influence of Edmundo Rivero, and Melingo played a tribute to him with the song “Leonel el feo”.
His theatrical personality and his marginal tango are combined in his concerts. In this opportunity, Melingo will present Corazón y hueso – tango, milonga, waltzes, cuecas and chamamé - accompanied by musicians Patricio Cotella (double bass), Gustavo Paglia (concertina), Hernán Reinaudo (guitar), Rodrigo Guerra (multi-instruments) and Javier Casalla (violín). Amony many other news songs, he will sing “Negrito”, “Semos hermanos”, “El tatuaje” and “La novia”.
