Ultratango's biography

Ultratango

With a repertoire of tango melodies over rhythmic basis of techno or electronic music, Ultratango has been traveling the world since 2002. The group has visited the cities of Thessaloniki, Greece; Bogota and Medellin, Colombia; Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Santiago de Chile, Chile. Their debut album was Astornautas, in 2003, a trip through the works of Astor Piazzolla. In 2007, they present Trashnoche, their second album, with a repertoire that goes further back in time, where they include classics such “Volver”, “Nocturna”, “La Trampera” and “El Monito”, but always keeping pop aesthetics. All these pieces also accompanied by their own songs such as "Tangorama" and "Trashnoche". Ultratango is formed by Julio Pérez (concertina), Sami Abadi (violin), Braulio Aguirre (percussion), Gastón Satragno (keyboards and piano) and Leo Satragno (keyboards, vocals and programming). Ultratango frequently collaborates with Raúl Lavié, father of Leo and Gaston.
