Orquesta Color Tango's biography

Orquesta Color Tango

After eleven years in Osvaldo Pugliese’s orchestra, concertina player Roberto Álvarez decided to start a new period in his life by creating his own group, keeping Pugliese’s style. That is how Orquesta Color Tango was born two decades ago. In the short time they started a 26 concert tour around Holland, recording their first CD. That was the starting point of a long list of shows in the country; however, they also carried out shows in Europe and Latin American countries. Orquesta Color Tango released several recording works and is very popular as to what milongas refer. Now, the orchestra decided to review their long career by editing a CD entitled 20 años which will be presented in a live show. This will be carried out in the midst of a tight concert agenda, including their participation in Festival Internacional de Medellín and a tour around Europe. The orchestra is directed by Roberto Álvarez, who also does the arrangements for concertina; Hernán Bartolozzi (concertina), Fernando Rodríguez and Ernesto Gómez (violins), Gustavo Hunt (keyboards), Mariana Diez (piano), Manuel Gómez (double bass) and Roberto Decarre (voice).
