Susana Rinaldi y Osvaldo Piro's biography

The Dance World Cup final event in the Stage Tango category will be much more than a night with strong emotions since, apart from the attraction of the competition, singer Susana Rinaldi featuring Osvaldo Piro will be performing. She has a 40 year long career in the history of tango and is still active. She is vice-president of Asociación Argentina de Intérpretes (AADI), and continues recording –the last CD was a homage to Homero Manzi´s poetry- and she has numerous shows. Piro, a fundamental artist of the genre, was concertina player of Ángel D’Agostino, Roberto Caló, Fulvio Salamanca and Alfredo Gobbi. He directed Juan de Dios Filiberto Argentine Music National Orchestra and Civic Music State Orchestra. His plays “Azulnoche”, “Octubre” and “Romance de abril” are samples of a contemporary inspiration based firmly on tradition. Emilio Balcarce Tango School Orchestra will accompany them, at a generational meeting that is in tune with the orchestra premises: that experienced directors pass on their knowledge, the “yeites” and the tango secrets to the young members.
