Orquesta Típica El Porvenir's biography

This orchestra integrated by musicians from different Children Orchestras from Priority Action Areas (ZAP) performs again to continue with a production that began in 2008. The foundation of this typical orchestra(atypical, since it gathers strings and winds) implies one of the goals of the Festival: equal access to the cultural assets of tango. Poppi Spatocco, Juan Carlos Cuacci and Pablo Agri were specially commissioned for the arrangements. The Typical Orchestra El Porvenir is the main figure of a program that will have guest stars from several generations. The repertoire, deepened and widened by the hand of true masters of the genre, includes all times classics, such as "El porteñito" and "Verano Porteño", going through "La trampera", "Gallo ciego" and "Ventarrón". The Program Children Orchestras, of the General Management for Education Inclusion from the Ministry of Education of the Government of the City, is aimed at kids in situation of social vulnerability. This program is coordinated by Claudio Espector and carried out in the neighborhoods of Flores, Villa Lugano and Retiro.
