Rubén Blades y Leopoldo Federico con su orquesta's biography
The Salon Tango closure competition will be seasoned with a special event.
During the night in which the winners will be elected at Luna Park, the Panamanian Rubén Blades will go on stage, beyond all doubt, one of the greatest authors of Latin-American song: creator of exquisite plays such as “Pedro Navaja”, “El cantante” and “Siembra”, just to mention a few. With a 30 year long career, his songs reached popularity, and at the same time, they keep their musical richness. Blades is also a passionate for tango, to the extent that he decided to record a CD dedicated to this genre with arrangements of the Argentine Carlos Franzetti –Grammy winner in 2001- who will play live, in this opportunity. Besides, the Leopoldo Federico typical orchestra will be performing, nowadays, an institution of tango and a sort of live history of the genre. For the first time, they will perform together and Blades will sing accompanied by the great concertina player creating together an excellent final.
