Eduardo Rovira: Vida y Obra's biography

Even today, the renewing work of Eduardo Rovira (1925-1980) is one of the great treasures of tango that remains hidden and deserves to be discovered. This is why, in addition to the Rovira Night dedicated to remember his work as a composer, there will be a lecture by two specialists in his work and life. One of these specialists is Beatriz Senra Rovira, daughter in law of the concertina player, who has investigated his musical history for years. The fruit of his work can be followed in the comprehensive site www.roviraxrovira.com.ar. The other lecturer is Juan Manuel Peña, author of numerous articles on tango in the country and in Spain. Together, they will talk about Rovira´s career. He was formed in many orchestras to be consolidated in the 1960s as one of the great vanguardists of tango, through albums such as Sónico, Que lo paren, Tango vanguardia and Tango en la Universidad and leading heterodox groups such as the Modern Tango Band.
