Luis Borda's biography

Luis Borda

Guitar player Luis Borda is a curious artist with a wide vision regarding music. All throughout his life, he was part of the fusion group Ave Rock and the revival of Rodolfo Mederos. He took part in recordings with León Gieco and Emilio del Guercio and he was on stage together with Litto Nebbia y Bernardo Baraj. In middle 90`s, he was one of the musicians who transformed the tango scene when producing his sister Lidia Borda`s first record (Entre sueños) and Luis Cardei`s first album (De madrugada). Then he moved to the German city of Munich covering the European scene of concerts. Specially invited for the Festival to celebrate his 55 years, he will give a concert named Quien no se vuelve loco no es normal, accompanied by Rodolfo García (drums and percussion), Renato Venturini (bandoneon), Diego Schissi (piano), Lidia Borda and Emilio del Güercio (voices). He will combine songs of his own with tributes to the bandoneon players José Libertella and Eduardo Rovira.
