Quinteto El Descarte's biography

El Descarte quintet was created in 2007, and it is formed by Fernando Bruguera, piano; Santiago Polimeni Alaniz, concertina; Cesar Rago, violin; Adrián Lacruz, guitar, and Pablo Guzman, double bass. They toured 70 American cities with the Compañía Tango Buenos Aires, and currently they perform regularly in the “milonga” scene. Their repertoire is composed of attractive quintet’s adaptations of traditional arrangements of big orchestras, such as Osvaldo Pugliese’s, Anibal Troilo’s and Horacio Salgan’s, original works of Piazolla’s quintet and new compositions. Currently they are recording their first studio album, completely made of new compositions.
