Cristian Zárate - Leonardo Sánchez's biography

The pianist Cristian Zárate and the guitar player Leonardo Sánchez –settled in Paris- belong to the select type of musicians constantly required by their colleagues. The extensive list includes the summon by Juan José Mosalini, Antonio Agri, Julián Plaza, Fernando Suárez Paz, Walter Ríos, Rodolfo Mederos, Guillermo Fernández, Raúl Lavié and Julio Pane. Besides their own projects, tours, records and works for films, they always have tango as the focal point of his musical experiences. Now –and taking as a model the remarkable duet of Horacio Salgán in piano and Ubaldo De Lío in guitar- Cristian Zárate and Leonardo Sánchez decided to get together to record the album De aquí, de allá. The musical improvisation and the new arrangements of classical tangos nourish this record in order to propose an intense musical dialogue between piano and guitar. They already presented the album in different places of Europe, like the Festival Internacional de Tango de Granada. Now it is time to play this brand-new material in Buenos Aires.
