Hilda Herrera Presenta Gardel en piano's biography

As a pianist, composer and teacher, Hilda Herrera has a long history: she has developed an important pedagogical work among the new generations of musicians. For instance, she directed CIRMA (Center for Information and Compilation of Argentine Music), coordinated along with Juan Falú the season “Maestros del Alma”, and currently directs CIMAP (Creators and Interpreters of Argentine Music in Piano), where she transmits the shape of the Argentine rhythms. She is composer of several works, such as “Navidad 2000”, “La diablera”, “Zamba del fiero” and “Señales luminosas”, and she made arrangements in piano of our folkloric patrimony’s pieces. She has released now the record Gardel en piano, with cover versions of classic songs like “Golondrinas”, “El día que me quieras”, “Por una cabeza” and “Amores de estudiante”, where she combines her exquisite work as a singer and arranger, giving a different shade to very well-known pieces. In the intimate format of piano, she will present this new record dedicated to the Gardelian universe.
