Milonga Homenaje a Osvaldo Zotto

Among the virtuous dancers of the generation crowned in the 1990’s, Osvaldo Zotto distinguished himself as pioneer and owner of a unique style, at the same time inspired by the best traditions of salon tango. Younger brother of Miguel Angel Zotto and disciple of legendary milongueros such as Antonio Todaro and Pepito Avellaneda, Osvaldo knew how to mold a personality that conquered the dance floors and stages. In 1989, together with Guillermina Quiroga, they were the disclosure of the Hugo del Carril contest. He was among the emblematic figures of the company Tango x2 created by Miguel Angel Zotto and Milena Plebs. He was part of the cast of the internationally known musical Forever Tango. He danced with Mora Godoy and, in 1997, he joined Lorena Ermocida, with whom he performed in the tours of the singer Julio Iglesias and also in the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles before fifty thousand people. They were a very well known couple. Giselle Avanzi was his last partner. Osvaldo Zotto died at 46, in January 2010, and his departure mourned the dance floors. His friends and colleagues remember him with a milonga night that evokes so many other nights shared.
