ORQUESTA TÍPICA EL PORVENIR's biography
Made up of 60 kids from the Children Orchestras from priority action areas, the Orquesta Típica El Porvenir promotes music as well as provides equal access to the cultural heritage of Tango. Since its beginning three years ago, the ensemble has performed together with acclaimed figures of different generations like Leopoldo Federico, Pablo Agri and Daniel Binelli, and singers Guillermo Fernández, Raúl Lavié and Susana Rinaldi, among others. Its repertoire includes songs from different times, from “El porteñito” to “Verano porteño,” through “Gallo ciego” and “Ventarrón.” The Children Orchestras Program of the Office of Educational Inclusion of the Ministry of Education of the City is aimed at socially vulnerable children. The program is coordinated by Claudio Espector and is carried out in the neighborhoods of Flores, Villa Lugano and Retiro.
