This journey through the career of Alberto Podestá is, without a doubt, one of the highlights of the Festival. A reference for new and old generations of singers, and part of the living history of tango, the great singer will travel, together with Gabriel Soria, through the most significant moments of his extensive and successful career spanning 70 years. On a fascinating journey across time, and drawing on photos, recordings and footage from the past, the maestro will recall his beginnings in San Juan; the arrival in Buenos Aires in 1939; the debut with the orchestra of Miguel Caló; his experience in the ensembles of Carlos Di Sarli, Pedro Laurenz, Enrique Mario Franchini and Armando Pontier, among other great artists who shaped his career; the effervescence of 1940s Buenos Aires; his friendship with Julio Sosa and Homero Expósito; the big hits of his repertoire, and the success achieved in countries like Chile and Colombia.
