ORQUESTA EL ARRANQUE, CON LEO MASLÍAH Y LUCÍA GATTI's biography

At first sight, this artistic encounter is a fascinating planet collision. On one side, the Uruguayan musician Leo Maslíah who, with his subtle humor and extraordinary talent for songwriting, made versatility his trademark: he has recorded over 40 albums; published stories, novels and plays; and written music for ballet and opera productions. Now, he presents the album Cantanotas, accompanied by cellist and singer Lucía Gatti. On the other side, the orchestra El Arranque, which in 15 years of history gave Tango an air of freshness through the arrangements and quality of its musicians, and which continues performing songs from the album Leopoldo Federico & El Arranque. But, Maslíah and El Arranque come together at a common point: their mutual affinity, empathy and admiration will lead them to blend collectively on stage to perform pieces combining tango with other genres.
