MILONGA DE APERTURA - MARÍA NIEVES - LOS REYES DEL TANGO's biography

Undoubtedly, María Nieves has been vital to the genre’s revival and international expansion throughout the last years. An artist loved both by her audience and colleagues, she openly expresses her natural, irreverent and sophisticated style through her gestures, her thought and, of course, the dance. Juan Carlos Copes and Nieves have become a milonga archetype and turned into the most well-known dancing couple of the last decades. As true pioneers, they have taken our dance to the four corners of the planet. Last year, at the closing of the Dance World Cup at the Luna Park theater, María gave an amazing and touching performance to the privileged audience enjoying the final of the competition. This year, she will be responsible for opening the dance floor of the Centro de Exposiciones with an exhibition featuring her as the sole star. There will be a popular milonga with Los Reyes del Tango.
