How to film the life of a dancer, the greatest tango dancer. For the filmmakers of El hombre que baila, Sergio Aisenstein and Pablo Pintor, the portrait of Héctor Mayoral cannot be drawn in a straight line, but with cuts, breaks and twirls. Journeying to the past, Mayoral shows himself as a great storyteller and as someone who, at the heart of tango’s essence, can see it from the outside and also analyze and interpret it.
