NÉSTOR MARCONI QUINTETO's biography

Néstor Marconi is a widely experienced bandoneon player. His background spanning from a fresh contribution in Vanguatrío to participation in the typical orchestras of José “Pepe” Basso and Enrique Mario Francini-Armando Pontier, he became the bandoneon soloist of the philharmonics of Oslo, Montreal and Toulouse; Roberto Goyeneche’s ideal partner in the film Sur, and the musician chosen by renowned pianist Martha Argerich for her performances. He leads a quintet featuring Pablo Agri (violin), Leonardo Marconi (piano), Juan Pablo Navarro (double bass) and Esteban Falabella (guitar). The ensemble will combine pieces by Marconi such as “Tiempo cumplido,” “Para el recorrido” and “Sobre imágenes” with its own arrangements of classic songs by Piazzolla, Salgán and Bardi. They will also perform songs from his next album.
