QUASIMODO TRÍO's biography

QUASIMODO TRÍO

They call themselves “contemporary music trio” and it is fine, although they are best known for their work in tango. The Quasimodo Trío takes a wider approach, stretching the limits of the genre to blend it with chamber and jazz music. It is composed of Daniel Ruggiero (bandoneon and composition), Adrián Mastrocola (piano) and Cristian Basto (double bass) and has released two albums: Quasimodo Trío and Amsterdam. Thanks to its relentless drive, the group made its way onto the stages of America and Europe.

CONCIERTOS ATORRANTES

Conciertos Atorrantes is a weekly series of concerts offered at Sanata Bar, in the neighborhood of Almagro. More than 50 tango groups have performed between 2009 and 2011. Most of them are made up of young musicians who try—successfully—to give the genre not only a new space for creation, but also an aesthetic and artistic support that will be the model for creating similar cultural outlets.
