ConCiertos Atorrantes: Quinteto Viceversa 's biography

ConCiertos Atorrantes: Quinteto Viceversa

The Quinteto Viceversa was born in 2003 with a very clear idea: expressing itself through a modern sound, whether with original compositions or new arrangements of tango classics. This was accomplished in its first album, Viceversa Tango, featuring pieces of its own such as “Sísima,” “Falsa escuadra” and “Viceversa”. And then again in the second album, A todo trapo, which received accolades from the great Leopoldo Federico. Now, the third album, Pulsión, has come out with a lot more flying time under its belt and featuring three new musicians, which allows to expand the borders in contemporary-tango exploration. The Quinteto Viceversa is composed of Lucas Furno (violin), Juan Pablo Saraco (guitar), Juan Miguens (double bass), Lautaro Greco (bandoneon), Emiliano Greco (piano), plus guest musicians Adrián Speziale (cello), César Rago (violin) and Rubén Jurado (viola).

CONCIERTOS ATORRANTES

Conciertos Atorrantes is a weekly series of concerts offered at Sanata Bar, in the neighborhood of Almagro. More than 50 tango groups have performed between 2009 and 2011. Most of them are made up of young musicians who try—successfully—to give the genre not only a new space for creation, but also an aesthetic and artistic support that will be the model for creating similar cultural outlets.
