VALE TANGO's biography

VALE TANGO

It’s been more than a decade since the creation of Vale Tango in 2000, when it appeared in Robert Duvall and Francis Ford Coppola’s film Assassination Tango playing “Rey de copas.” Combining tango classics with creations of its own, the group is well-known for the composition and arranging work of its pianist, Andrés Linetzky, and the accurate playing of its members Federico Pereiro and Nicolás Capsitski (bandoneons), Alejandro Schaikis and Pedro Pedroso (violins) and Nicolás Zacarías (double bass). After several tours around Europe, Vale Tango will travel to France in October to record its tenth album, this time with the record label Winter & Winter, featuring all new music by Linetzky. The ensemble’s presentation at the Festival will be an exclusive opportunity to listen to a preview of this material.
