Federico Pereiro Trío's biography

Federico Pereiro Trío

Despite his youth, the young bandoneon player Federico Pereiro is one of the most experienced instrumentalists of this new generation of tango musicians. Born in Formosa, he is the son of Julio Pereiro, a prominent pianist and his first teacher, who gave him the opportunity to record when he was only 15 years of age. Today this space would not suffice to list all the artists with whom Pereiro has performed or recorded: ranging from the orchestra of Leopoldo Federico to Iñaki Urlezaga and from the Nuevo Quinteto Real to Vale Tango. A current member of the Tango Orchestra of the City of Buenos Aires, he comes to the Festival leading Federico Pereiro Trío, an ensemble composed of Pablo Estigarribia (piano), Patricio Cotella (double bass) and vocals by Esteban Riera, with which he will perform songs from his usual repertoire and material from his latest album.
