The singer—one of the best representatives of the young breed of tango performers that appeared 15 years ago to set the new rules of the genre—reflects, among her major influences, the singular art of the “zorzal criollo” (Creole thrush). To honor him, she carefully approaches his repertoire and, following the direction traced by tango’s finest singer, offers her own personal interpretation.
