NOELIA MONCADA's biography

Noelia Moncada has traveled a long road since her arrival in Buenos Aires, from Rosario. Throughout a decade, the singer won competitions and awards, starred in the small opera María de Buenos Aires, accompanied Julio Bocca in his farewell world tour, was the female voice of the Orquesta El Arranque, and recorded a solo album: A tiempo. Highly endowed with technique and sensitivity to perform, what makes her move comfortably in the heart and environs of the genre, Moncada encourages careful listening and curiosity for her personal search. At the Festival, she will perform songs from her upcoming album, Marioneta, featuring tango classics, innovations and challenges like “Retrato em branco e preto” (Chico Buarque - Tom Jobim). She is accompanied by Octavio Brunetti (piano and arrangements), Daniel Falasca (double bass), Marco Antonio Fernández (bandoneon) and Sebastián Prusak (violin).
