COMPAÑÍA LADOCIEGO presenta PESO MEDIO's biography

The Compañía ladoCiego, created in 2007, has developed a movement style based on elements of its own as well as of tango. Julio Zurita, its director, danced in the Contemporary Ballet of Teatro San Martín and Julio Bocca’s Argentine Ballet. He lived in Spain where he choreographed various tango shows. When he returned to Buenos Aires, he made his debut as Ballet Director of the Astor Piazzolla Foundation with the show Laberinto. The choreography Cirtango, which he co-directed, won the ACE award. He shares various projects with Gustavo Santaolalla and works as a choreographer for the Korean version of Evita.
Peso medio combines dance, music and singing to tell the parable of a boxer as a warrior of life. The state before the fall, the thoughtless body, the doubts, the fight and the ever-lurking possibility of the feared knockout will reveal the soul of the hero as he performs the inescapable duty of facing life.
