COLÁNGELO & BAFFA - HOMENAJE A TROILO's biography

The Festival will always make room for the music and figure of the enormous Pichuco. In this opportunity, two historical members of his orchestra, José Colángelo and Ernesto Baffa, are in charge of the celebration of the talent and stature of the “Greatest Bandoneon Player of Buenos Aires.” Maestro Colángelo will conduct a quintet composed of Daniel Falasca (double bass), Horacio Romo (bandoneon), Pablo Agri (violin) and Ariel Russoniello (cello), with the participation of singer Gabriela Rey; while Ernesto Baffa will lead a singular quartet of bandoneon and three guitars, played by Román Vergagni (first guitar), Juan Azar (second guitar) and Joaquín Althabe (guitarron). Two different approaches to the work of the great musician and songwriter, departed in 1974, which will combine forces to deliver a full-on closing performance.
