GRAN MILONGA DE CIERRE, con sexteto milonguero's biography
An appointment not to be missed, the Grand Closing Milonga promises to be a musical kaleidoscope encompassing experienced and novice couples, dancers from all over the world and curious people among spectators and milonga lovers. The event will feature the Sexteto Milonguero, created in 2006 with a definite idea: taking the dancing repertoire of the 40s as a starting point to find its own original sound. The ensemble is composed of Marisol Canessa and Mariano Laplume (violins), Diego Braconi and Mauricio Jost (bandoneons), Gervasio Ledesma (piano), Cristian Sepúlveda (double bass) and Javier Di Ciriaco (vocals). The evening will include the dancing performance of the couple Los Veliz, with their mix of milonga and zamba, together with tango DJs and—new this year—VJs. Like in previous editions, it is expected to be a full-on closing party.
