TANGO BIG BAND CON D’COTÉ 's biography
Permanently committed to artistic challenge and specially commissioned by the Festival, the members of D’Coté widen their horizons merging their original approach with Tango Big Band, to connect the best tango tradition with an instrumental ensemble typical of another great popular genre: jazz. For 15 years, the sax quartet D’Coté has been delivering a solid interplay between Tango and the timbre of wind instruments, those that appear to be made to navigate more peacefully in other musical waters. Composed of Gustavo Hunt (tenor sax, clarinet and arrangements), Nicolás Porley (soprano and alto sax), Gustavo Musso (soprano and alto sax) and Martín Pantyrer (baritone sax and bass clarinet), the ensemble manages to naturally and smoothly introduce voices rarely heard in tango—their spirit remaining untouched.
