Tan Chui Mui

Born in 1978 in Sungai Ulan, Malaysia, she graduated in film and animation at the Multimedia University. She worked in journalism and is one of the founders of Da Huang Pictures. She directed, among others, the shorts There Is Treasure Everywhere (1999), 3R (2004), South of South (2005), Nobody’s Girlfriend (2007), No Woman Born (2010), and the feature Love Conquers All (2006; winner at Rotterdam 2007).
