MUSIC AND WORDS, MAESTRO PLEASE!
German sociologist, composer and theater director Heiner Goebbels is one of the great international figures of the Festival kicking off this coming Saturday. On Thursday 29 and Friday 30 at 8.30 p.m., he will present the world-acclaimed multimedia piece “Eraritjaritjaka, museo de las frases” at the Martín Coronado Auditorium of the Teatro San Martin. And on the same Friday, but at 4 p.m., he will conduct a free, open master class at the Cunil Cabanellas Auditorium of the Teatro San Martín. Tickets remain for the shows of Thursday and Friday: they can be purchased on this website or in person, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Teatro San Martín (Corrientes 1530) and Casa de la Cultura (Av. de Mayo 575).
During the meeting open to the public, footage of Goebbels‘ stage productions will be screened and used by the great German maestro to talk about his take on the evolution of the concept of drama: from the classical notion that focuses on the conflicts of the characters to a new approach that centers in the audience’s perception of what they are witnessing. The meeting’s moderator will be Argentine composer and director Martín Bauer.
