Roxana Amed enjoys a well-earned prestige within the Buenos Aires jazz scene, due to her distinctive vocal performance, the power of her music and a very sophisticated poetry. The year 2004 saw the release of her first album, Limbo, produced by Pedro Aznar and featuring her own works and much praised versions of Joni Mitchell and Luis Alberto Spinetta. Two years later, in 2006, came out her second album, Entremundos, again produced by Aznar and boasting the participation of León Gieco as a special guest. She was honoured with the Martín Fierro award in 2000, a nomination for the Clarín Award as Best Jazz Newcomer in 2003 and another one for the Carlos Gardel Award as Best Album Testimonial Song Artist.
