Brote's biography

Brote

Brote is one of the brand new expressions of the vernacular jazz, and one of the most promising ones. This quartet is one of the emblematic ensembles of the genre and draws on the enormous lyrical potential of its two soloists in order to develop original compositions that delve into the free jazz and attest to its quest for sounds and forms of improvisation, which are worth paying attention to.
Brote have appeared at the main venues of Buenos Aires. In November 2008 they closed the Rosario Jazz Festival, before a full house. Their first album, Brote, was greeted with high acclaim by the specialised press. Its four members, Sergio Wagner, Misael Parola, Federico Llach and Pedro Ahets Etcheberry, are all young musicians with a very solid musical background. Federico Llach has just won the SADAIC award for “Talampaya”, a work for orchestra to be premiered next year by the National Symphony Orchestra.
