Ale Demogli

Praised by such great guitarists as the mythical John Scofield and by the renowned Down Beat Magazine (February 2008), Ale Demogli studied piano from the age of 6 to 13 years old, later to devote to the guitar. At the early age of 22 he won two scholarships to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated and worked as a tutor at the Learning Center. In 2000 he was granted the Nec Merit Award and Best Scholarship by the prestigious New England Conservatory in Boston. Some of his teachers were Charlie Banacos, Pino Marrone, George Russell, Hal Crook, Jerry Bergonzi, Mick Goodrick, Greg Hopkins, Pat Martino, John Scofield, Ed Tomassi, George Garzone, Jeff Friedman, Dave Liebman, Julio Viera (counterpoint and composition) and María Concepción Patrón.
Ale Demogli has performed and recorded with such legends of the genre as John Scofield, Dan Balmer, John Stowell, Sid Jacobs and Ron Anthony, and with double bassists like John Lockwood, the legendary Richard Davis and Hilliard Greene. At present he leads his own quintet with which he has just recorded Just songs under the label Andes Records. In 2008-2009 he travelled to India to study yoga, vedanta, mantras, Sanskrit and Indian music, both at the Dayananda Ashram (Rishikesh) and the Iyengar Memorial Institute (Poona) of the mythical Yogacharya Iyengar.
