Alejandro Chiabrando 's biography
The saxophonist and clarinetist Alejandro Chiabrando graduated in classical clarinet in Rosario, the city where he was born, and then in jazz performance at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. He had teachers as important as George Garzone and Joe Lovano, among others. He played with the Picante Jazz Orchestra from Boston and New York, with the Beantown Big Band, the Eguie Castrillo Big Band, Pablo Ablanedo’s octet, Bob Gulloti, Leo Genovese, Baron Brown and Boby Gay. He recorded his last album, Green Light, with Phil Grenadier, the pianist Leo Genovese, the drummer Nick Falk and the double-bass player Demián Cabaud. His quintet is completed by Mariano Loiácono (trumpet), Alan Zimmerman (piano), Carlos Álvarez (double-bass) and Luciano Ruggieri (drums).
