Carlos Álvarez 's biography
The double-bass player Carlos Andrés Álvarez was born in 1979 in Toledo, Spain. He has recorded two records as composer, Viejo Cactus (PAI Records) and Carlos Álvarez Quinteto. He leads a trio completed by the sax player Rodrigo Domínguez and the drummer Hernán Mandelman. He recorded with Jorge Navarro, Ligia Piro, Juan Cruz de Urquiza and Alan Plachta as double-bass player. Since 2004 he is part of Jorge Navarro’s trio. He has played with Alex Acuña, James Moody, Jon Seiger, Ron Anthony, Tim Collins, Andrés Boiarsky, Jarmo Savolainen, Escalandrum, Gustavo Bergalli, Diego Schissi, Richard Nant, Ricardo Cavalli and Enrique Norris.
