Diego García

Biography

Guitarist Diego García leads his own blues-country-jazz trio. He has performed in Germany, Italy, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, France, Colombia and the United States. In 2011, in Argentina, he released his second album, Twanguero, which he performed at the Samsung Studio in Buenos Aires, in Rosario, in La Plata and in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. At the end of this year, he will release his new record, The Brooklyn Session. The album was recorded in New York in only one day, at the analog recording studio Mission Sound, and was mastered by Joe Lambert. The upcoming recording features musicians of the stature of Tony Mason – who collaborates with Norah Jones, Charlie Hunter, Jim Campilongo – and Nick D’Amatto – who has played with Lizz Wrighta and Poppa Chubby. His performance at the BAJ.11 will be the first of a series of shows in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, with the authentic American sound of his old Gibson ES-295.
