Biography
Singer María Puga Lareo was born in Buenos Aires. In addition to performing in a variety of venues locally, she sang at the Manna House Theatre in New York’s Harlem, accompanied by saxophonist Carol Sudhalter’s quartet. The Astoria Big Band accompanied her at the 80th Anniversary of the Sunnyside Gardens in Queens. She sang at the Bernice Brooks Show, on the BCAT TV channel, with Bob Cunninhgam. She released her first album, Body and Soul, in 2005. My Keter is her own label with which she released Beijo Partido, also featuring guitarist Quique Sinesi. Facetas is her latest album.
