Biography
Horacio López was born in Buenos Aires in 1949. Shortly after starting his career, he accompanied African-American singer Jon Lucien, together with Wagner Tiso and Steve Thornton, on a tour that ended at the Carnegie Hall. He has played with Herbie Hancock, Airto Moreira, Hugo Fattoruso, Flora Purin, Egberto Gismonti, Milton Nascimento, Dino Saluzzi, among many other local and international artists. At the Buenos Aires Jazz, he will appear with his trio, completed by Ricardo Nolé (piano) and Alejandro Herrera (bass). The trio blends regional music styles with jazz and will pay tribute to drummer Pocho Lapouble.
