Biography

Bassist Alejandro Herrera was born in Buenos Aires in 1960. He has played with Philip Catherine’s trio, the Al Di Meola World Sinfonia and Scott Henderson’s trio. Since 1992, he has played in the band led by Austrian saxophonist Karlheinz Miklin, with whom he has toured extensively and given workshops at major jazz schools in Europe. He has released two albums, Minority Report and Behind the Bass. Created in 1992, his quintet also includes Sergio Wagner (trumpet), Gustavo Camara (tenor sax), Sergio Gruz (piano and synthesizer) and Tomas Babjaczuk (drums).
