Biography

Vocalist and pianist Alejandra Bayas was born in Ecuador 27 years ago. At the age of 12 she performed with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador and at 16, with the string ensemble of the National Symphony of Ecuador. She studied jazz at Berklee. In 2003, she moved to Buenos Aires. She has played with Adrián Iaies and Ernesto Snajer and opened for Walter Malosetti’s show. Daydream was her first album: a tribute to jazz classics. She is now preparing her second album, which features Pepi Taveira, Ezequiel Dutil, Ernesto Snajer, Mariano Loiácono, Carlos Michelini and Ignacio Amil.
