Biography

Trumpeter Guillermo Calliero was born in Santa Fe in 1973. In 1992, he moved to Buenos Aires, where his professional training began under the wing of Fats Fernández. In 2006, he moved to Barcelona, where he shared the stage with Perico Sambeat, the Flamenco Jazz Big Band, Horacio Fumero’s trio, the Barcelona Jazz Orchestra, Ramón Scale’s Big Band, Carlos Carli’s quartet, José Reinoso, Alberto Bover, David Xirgu, Gorka Benitez, Lluis Vidal, Ignasi Terraza and Raynald Colom, among others. He is currently a trumpet teacher at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona and leads his own quartet.
