Biography
Saxophonist, flutist and composer Javier Girotto was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1965. He studied at Berklee, Boston. Based in Rome, he created Six Sax and recorded his first album with Bob Mintzer and Randy Brecker. He has played with countless musicians – among them, Italian jazz stars Enrico Rava and Paolo Fresu – and at a number of venues. Aires Tango is his Argentine music-jazz fusion band. In 1999, he joined Córdoba Reunión. He released Alrededores de la ausencia on his own label, JG Records. Other albums include Sin lugar a dudas, Vamos and Latin Mood.
