Gerardo Di Giusto

Biography

Pianist and composer Gerardo Di Giusto was born in Córdoba, Argentina, in 1961. He studied at Córdoba’s Provincial Conservatory, the Conservatoire National de Région de Saint-Maur and the Paris School of Jazz, with Laurent Cugny. He also studied conducting with Dominique Rouits at the National School of Music in Paris. He has played with Julien Loureau, Mercedes Sosa, Amelita Baltar, Orlando Poleo, Juan José Mosalini, among others. He has written folk-rooted academic music. He forayed into jazz with his Camerata Ambigua and with Gaïa Cuatro, among others. His albums include Le Monde de la Musique, Gaïa and Imaginario.
