Flores Negras's biography

Banded together in 1996, these four women who decide to call themselves Flores Negras, after the title of a tango song by Francisco De Caro, begin their artistic journey playing around Buenos Aires. Diana Molina, Cecilia Bonardi, Alejandra Cañoni and Laura Esses, with arrangements and musical direction by
Oscar Laiguera, perform a varied repertoire that encompasses very traditional and recently-created urban music. It includes tango, milonga and candombe pieces such as “El choclo,” “Quedémonos aquí,” “Oro y plata,” ”Milonga de la Anunciación,” among others, by such diverse composers and authors as Ángel Villoldo and Astor Piazzolla or Discépolo, Manzi and Ferrer.
