AN AUTHENTIC LOCAL VARIETY SHOW 29 September 2013

Having performed around the world and after great seasons in Buenos Aries, Alejandra Radano and Fabián Luca put their show Delirio gaucho. Canciones del interior back on the stage during the Festival. The performance will be held on Monday 14 at 7 PM at Teatro Picadero (Pje. Enrique Santos Discépolo 1857, a few steps away from Corrientes and Callao avenues). Taking the eponymous title from a tango by locally-renowned musician Alfredo Gobbi, the show offers a journey through songs, comedy, poetry and visual arts in an attempt to deconstruct some archetypal gaucho stories. “From the very first minute, Radano dazzles us with her invincible figure: in little over an hour, accompanied by guitar trio Los Primos Gabino and with direction by Fabián Luca (Danza maligna, Tango reviú), she will go over an unusual repertoire of irreverent songs – some curious, some hilarious – united by a common spirit: celebrating the incorrect, the absurd, the inappropriate,” wrote Paula Vázquez Prieto on Página/12 newspaper. Tickets for this show are already on sale on this website or can be purchased in person at Casa de la Cultura (Av. de Mayo 575) from Monday to Friday, from 11 AM to 7 PM; and at the box office of the following theatres: San Martín (Av. Corrientes 1530), Regio (Av. Córdoba 6056), Presidente Alvear (Av. Corrientes 1659) and CCC 25 de Mayo (Av. Triunvirato 4444), every day, same hours.

Canciones de Mujer, a unique navigation through an eclectic sea of female singers including Kate Bush, Britney Spears, Libertad Lamarque, Rocío Durcal, Gloria Trevi, Mina, Rita Pavone, Lía Crucet and Olga Guillot. “In this subtle show, his refined appearance, graceful and precise movements, the variety of details of his impeccable outfit, his ironic tone and the virtuosic musical arrangements flesh out these songs which, here sung by a male voice, altogether weave a delicate story about a woman’s love,” wrote theatre critic Alejandro Cruz about this unmissable show on La Nación newspaper. There will be two performances: on Wednesday 16 at 3 PM and on Saturday 19 at 0.30 AM at Teatro Picadero (Pje. Enrique Santos Discépolo 1857, a few steps away from Corrientes and Callao avenues).
