Francisco Lo Vuolo

The pianist Francisco Lo Vuolo was born in Santa Fe in 1982. He graduated from the Escuela Creativa de Música de Argentina (Berklee International Network). He has studied with the masters Amalia Pérez, Ernesto Jodos, Guillermo Romero and Jorge Molina, among others. He takes lessons with Marc Copland, Fred Hersch and Jason Moran, and currently he studies with Guillermo Klein. He has played with Perico Sambeat, Conrad Herwig, Enrique Norris, Carlos Lastra, Luis Nacht, Mariano Otero, Rodrigo Domínguez, Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Pepi Taveira, Sergio Verdinelli, Ricardo Cavalli, Horacio Fumero, Oscar Giunta and Eduardo Casalla. Nowadays he leads his own trio, and accompanies projects by other musicians. He is member of Santa Fe Jazz Ensamble Big Band, Mariano Otero Quinteto y Noneto, Luis Nacht Trío, Eloy Michelini Quinteto Homenaje a Charlie Parker and Eduardo Casalla Trío. He has a solo album, Kuchiku (Sjazz, 2005). His trio is completed by Cristian Bórtoli (who participated in Jazz Ensamble and is double-bass player in the bands Carlos Lastra Trío, Enrique Norris Trío and Pepi Taveira Cuarteto) and Eloy Michelini
