Sebastian Jordan is one of the most remarkable of a generation of young Chilean jazz players that stand out due to their technical abilities, their knowledge of the language and the tradition of genre, and their strong commitment to supporting original music beyond the interpretation of classics of the genre. This trumpeter begins his career very young at the Viña del Mar Juvenile Orchestra and, once established in Santiago, he stands out as session musician. His natural talent for improvisation led him to be very required for recordings and concerts by Claudia Acuña, Nicolás Vera, Pablo Lecaros and Cristian Gálvez, among others. In 2008 he participates in one of the most transcendental projects of Chilean jazz: Quintessence, a group that gathers the main exponents of Chilean jazz, interpreters as well as composers. Jordán, whom to this date has two albums as leader: Afluencia and the very recent Cobre, arrives to Buenos Aires accompanied by an exceptional group.
